If you didn't catch it in the news over the holidays, the Water Industry Alliance is proud to announce that Premier Jay Weatherill and Minister for Water and the River Murray Paul Caica have backed a $240million bid by South Australian irrigators to further improve irrigation infrastructure and return, in its first stage, up to 20 billion litres of water to the River Murray. The bid is being made to the Federal Government by a Water Industry Alliance led group, whose members include Central Irrigation Trust, South Australian Murray Irrigators, and Irrigation Australia Limited.
